"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." — Proverbs 31:30 (NKJV)

Stop the Scroll: You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made! 💛✨
Let’s be real, sister.
You’re scrolling through Instagram, and boom—there she is. The mom who looks like she just stepped out of a magazine while holding a green smoothie, three kids in tow, and somehow not a single stain on her shirt. Meanwhile, you’re in yesterday’s leggings, your coffee’s cold, and your toddler just colored the wall with a Sharpie.
We’ve all been there. That sinking feeling sneaks in:
“Why don’t I look like that?”
“Why can’t I get it together like her?”
“What’s wrong with me?”
Deep breath. Let’s pause.
Let’s remind ourselves of the truth that never changes—even when your feed does.
You Are God’s Masterpiece 🖌️
The world might measure beauty in filters and followers, but God sees beyond the surface. He knit you together with love and intention. The Bible says:
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
— Psalm 139:14, NKJV
Isn’t that beautiful? You weren’t mass-produced on an assembly line. You were carefully crafted by the Creator of the universe. That nose you don’t like? That hair you think is too frizzy? Those stretch marks that tell stories of life and growth? Yup—God looked at you and said, “It is good.”
You Reflect God’s Image 🪞
Here’s something incredible:
"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."
— Genesis 1:27, NKJV
Let that sink in for a minute. You reflect God’s image. When He looks at you, He doesn’t see your “flaws.” He sees His beloved daughter. Chosen. Set apart. Beautiful in every way that truly matters.
Social Media Isn’t the Whole Story
We live in a world of highlight reels. That influencer with the perfect hair? You didn’t see her bad day, her insecurities, her real life behind the scenes. That Pinterest-perfect home? It may look clean on camera, but there’s probably a pile of laundry just out of frame. 😅
Don’t compare your behind-the-scenes to someone else’s edited version.
"For man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
— 1 Samuel 16:7, NKJV
Comparison will always steal your joy if you let it. Instead, let’s choose contentment. Let’s choose gratitude. Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus—not filters and feeds.
Your Body Is a Temple 🏛️
Your body—yes, even with the tired eyes and unshaved legs—is sacred space. The Bible tells us:
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
— 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, NKJV
Sister, your body is a temple. Not a showroom. Not a comparison point. Not a project in need of fixing. It’s a place where God Himself dwells. How amazing is that?
Let’s Flip the Script
Instead of saying, “I wish I looked like her,” try this:
👉 “Thank You, Lord, for making me exactly how You wanted me.”
👉 “Thank You for my strong legs that chase my kids.”
👉 “Thank You for these arms that hug my people tight.”
👉 “Thank You for a heart that longs to know You more.”
Because when we shift our focus from what we lack to what we carry, joy rises up. Peace fills the gaps. And God’s truth silences the lies.
One Final Reminder (Just in Case You Forgot)
You are deeply loved.
You are beautifully made.
You are already enough.
Not because of how you look.
Not because of what you accomplish.
But because you are His.
Now go out there, head high, heart full—just as you are. 💖
Let’s Pray 🙏
Lord, help us to see ourselves through Your eyes. Strip away the lies we’ve believed from the world and plant Your truth deep in our hearts. Teach us to walk in confidence, knowing we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank You for making us in Your image. Amen.
If this encouraged you, share it with a friend who needs the reminder too. We’re in this together—no filters needed. 😉
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV):
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
